An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
